  • An advance look at Elliot Spencer Pinhead
Later this Fall NECA will release a limited edition Cult Classics Series entitled Hall of Fame. This collection will be produced in limited quantities and is comprised of characters that were previously only available in deluxe boxed sets or we have sculpted new pieces to make some of the figures different from versions previously released.

The Hall of Fame collection will include a new version of Pinhead that features the original Pinhead figure body from Series I with new chest deco and the weapons from Hellbound Pinhead. Pinhead comes with an interchangeable head that features his Elliot Spencer likeness from the end of Hellraiser 2 and a brand new custom display base that can be connected to the Clive Barker's Hellraiser Cenobite Lair Playset.

For full details on the rest of the Hall of Fame collection please check the NECA Myspace blog tomorrow!

  • Cenobite Me!
Four Cenobites in one box is a bit much for most to handle. Death, destruction, pain, and torture are all that accompany such a thing. We understand, we feel your pain, yet at the same time, we enjoy torturing and teasing you with these little tid-bits of release info. Finally, as a feast for your mortal eyes, here is a look at the actual finished packaging for the Cenobite Lair Set.

  • The Lair's Box: You Opened It. We Came.
It won't be long from now that you get your chance to own the Cenobite Lair Boxed Set, but we know that you guys can't get enough of it. We figured you might want to soak in as much of the information on it before it's release so here is a quick look at the packaging mock up. Trust me when I say that this set will be most impressive, even if it's left in the packaging! (Note: We urge you to open it! Set them free!)

  • A Lethal Look at Leviathan
As Hellraiser: Series 3 nears its release, some people are getting anxious. We've heard the questions, rumors, arguments, and comments. You seem to wonder how could the Leviathan really be that big. Some wonder how it's split up to be packaged in the blisterpacks of 4 action figures. Others ask if it comes with a stand and if it lights up. NECA/Reel Toys aims to please and today we answer your questions.
Leviathan will be about 18 inches tall when fully assembled. It will stand securely on its own base that will be provided as a pack in with the series. The Leviathan will light up. Do you think this sounds fantastically too good to be true? Well there are a couple of features we could not include to keep cost down. The Leviathan itself is not guaranteed to bring about the doom and destruction of mankind. Once you put it together you probably won't be sucked into a void of nothingness and endless pain. Don't expect to have any kind of control of leather clad demons from a strange hell-like dimension. We made this thing as large and as detailed as possible, but some things just shouldn't be capable of being done by a toy.
Anyhow, expect the Hellraiser: Series 3 action figures in stores within 1 to 2 weeks, depending on your location. To those who aren't completists by nature, take a gander at the pictures below to see why you need to buy this entire set of figures. No Hellraiser collection will be complete without Leviathan!

  • The Pint-Sized Pinned Prince Of Pain
Joining Freddy and Jason in our new line of Horror Mini Busts is our 3rd character. You may know him from such films as Hellraiser, Hellraiser 2, and you guessed it, the rest of the Hellraiser films. He's mean, he's evil, he's got a British accent, and he's still somehow classy underneath all that fetish clothing... He's Pinhead! Whips and chains may bruise my brains, but pins will always hurt me.
Anyhow, even though the Pinhead Mini Bust has no arms it manages to carry with it an uncanny likeness and some fantastic detail. Get it? No arms? Carry? Eh, nevermind. This ferrous follicled foil is set to be unleashed sometime this fall. Oh, and you should really come back here often. I imagine we'll be letting you know who Mini Bust number 4 is going to be in the not too distant future.

  • The Pins Progress
The 3rd Series of Hellraiser Action Figures required a different look for good ole Pinhead, and it took quite a bit to get things just right to put god ole' Pinny into his oh so controversial pose. Here are a couple short shots of the progress that Hell On Earth Pinhead went through.

Click on the head to move to view their progress:

  • The Only Way To Get A Goth To Tan
Helena Bangert of the Netherlands uses a straw to finish off a sculpture of Pinhead from Hellraiser during the Sand Sculpture Festival in Zeebrugge, northern Belgium, July 15, 2004. A team of forty carvers from 13 different countries spent three weeks building giant sculptures based on the 'Hollywood' theme. Twenty-four tons of sands were needed to complete the entire sculpture which will be on show from July 16 to September 5. Click on the thumbnail below for a larger image:

  • He's Twice The Man You Are
Fusion can be the most terrible curse, or perhaps the most sublime of gifts. Agony and ecstasy experienced through an intertwined nervous system. For Mark and Michael Norrington, it was their fear of loneliness and their pledge of brotherly solidarity that would inspire the cenobites to create this "union of flesh". This became the evidence of their tragedy, twisted in perpetual pain into their faces. This deadly duo was sculpted by Sam Greenwell and painted by Ed Repka.

  • Fan Spotlight July 2004: David Anderson
Some people love torture, and this guy apparently torture's himself by not eating. How could he? Look at all the fantastic Hellraiser pieces he owns... how could he ever have any money left over to have a nice balanced meal? Then again maybe David Anderson makes enough money to maybe get me some gifts too. So David, share the love! Click the image below to go to our 3rd Fan Spotlight:

  • Pinhead's Back!
That's right, Pinhead's back, and I mean that in the possessive form of the phrase. Ok, so technically we're not really here to talk about the back of Pinhead himself, but instead we will be showing you the backs of each of the Hellraiser: Series 3 blister cards! Hell On Earth Pinhead, Female, Frank, and the Bloodline Twins are all here to check out right now, so click below to see them!

  • Raising Hell Again
A little later this summer Hellraiser: Series 3 will be hitting shelves and cooling off warm homes everywhere with the biting cold of DEATH! Well, it probably won't be something as dramatic as that, but at least these cool new figures are sure to be some hot sellers. With a gigantic pack in accessory, a cast of "must haves" from Hellraiser, and the line's first ever boxed set figure, you are not going to want to miss the latest and greatest series of Hellraiser Action Figures yet. Here is a quick view of what the blister cards are going to look like for the regular packed figures of Hellraiser: Series 3.

  • Fan Spotlight June 2004: Brent Montague
Here lies Brent Montague. He is a collector to some, and an icon of jealousy to others. With his collection of rare Hellraiser items, actual screen props, and custom made action figures, he proves that even in the blackest heart can live the love for things that share a kinship in the world of the macabre.

  • The Leviathan
In Hellraiser, Series III, there will be a piece together pack in like never seen before. Most probably the largest put together accessory to ever come with a set of action figures, the Leviathan is going to stand at about 18 inches tall, and will include a special light up feature. This gargantuan effort may even become many collector's centerpiece of their Hellraiser collection, as it can be prominently displayed with the special base we have designed to come along with it. Here is a look at how you will be able to put Leviathan together.

Click on the image below for the Leviathan Schematics:

  • Hell Hath No Fury Like A Female Scorned
Next up in our making of features for Series 3 is the long awaited Female action figure. Though her name may be very generic, she is no run of the mill character. With her facial wires, bald cranium, and ghastly stare, there is no doubt to why the fans have requested her so much. The last of the original four Cenobites to be immortalized in plastic, she is no small entry into the series. Sculpted by Kyle Windrix and painted by Ed Repka, the Female is going to be one hot item.

Click on her bald head to move to view her progress:

  • My Demon is A Centerfold
In issue 121 of Tomart's Action Figure Digest we had a centerfold of all of the Hellraiser Cenobites from Series 1 through 3 of the Hellraiser Action Figures, not including variations. Though they may not be the leggy blonde pinup girls that many would expect, it still was a swank offering for those who picked up the magazine. Many people wanted to have this image adorn their desktop screen so we figured we'd do all of you a favor and make it available here to download.

  • Fan Spotlight May 2004: Eric Fischer
With the advent of warm weather and sunny days we are going to spotlight those of us who rather spend our time in the dark, ironically enough. As our first entry into the Hellraiser Fan Spotlight Pantheon, Eric Fischer really takes the cake. Between prop replicas, memorabilia, and actual film used props, not many fans of anything, let alone Hellraiser can show their love for what they are fans of like Eric Fischer does.

  • Let's Have A Frank Conversation
With Hellraiser Series 3 in the manufacturing stages, it won't be too long before the Mini-cenobites and friends will be out in stores. With that in mind, now would be a good time to start showing how these figures came to be. With fantasticly detailed sculpts and sick paint jobs, this series is going to be one of the best yet
Leading off our series of "making of's" is Frank. Frank is a big guy and a very sick individual.

  • Chiller Wrap Up
This past weekend, NECA was at the Chiller Theatre convention expo showing off our latest and greatest goods. We got to meet many fans as they gazed hungry eyes upon our giant Stay Puft Marshmallow Man and Kill Bill Figures. We got to show Chris Uschak dressed as Freddy, and his friend dressed as Jason, the 18 inch figure and mini busts based off of their 2 favorite characters. Fans also got to meet Adam West, Roddy Piper, and of course Mini-Me aka Verne Troyer, among others. Here is just a small portion of what you would have seen if you went there, not including the scantly clad goth chicks and portly Sci-Fi collectors.

  • Love at First Cenobite!
We have updated the Cenobites section to reflect the additions made thanks to the Hellraiser Action Figure Series 3. Be sure to check them out and read their biographies. You just might find out somethings about them that you never knew before.

  • Hell On Earth
When Pinhead has a problem with the way things are going, he takes them into his own hands. This time around, he took that phrase a bit to literal and well... we all know what he did next. Based on a scene from Hell On Earth: Hellraiser III, the Hellbound Pinhead in Series 3 will come accurately impaled in the hands with his own pins and in the appropiate "crucified" pose. check out the full image below by click on the thumbnail.

  • The Pins in Print
Where oh where can Hellraiser fans get a good look at the Series 3 figures for the first time in print? Wonder no more, as an advanced look at Hellraiser Series III and a Hellraiser Pull Out Poster will be inside Tomart's Action Figure Digest Issue #121, hitting the news stands the week of April 12th. The pull out features almost the entire lineup of the Hellraiser Action Figure line so far!

    The Passion of The Pinhead
Where can one find the balance between pleasure and pain? The Lament Configuration? Guilty Pleasures? Sandra's Sexy Shack of Slaps? None can compare to the agony and the ecstasy of anticipation and suspense. Well today we will surely be giving you something to quench your desires, but at the same time just only enough to make you want even more!
Anyhow, the much anticipated 3rd Series of Hellraiser Figures is due later this Summer. In case you're head was stuck in the ground for the last 2 months, Series III will include the following characters: Hell on Earth Pinhead, Female Cenobite, Frank, Bloodline Twins, and the Deluxe Boxed Set Dr. Channard with Tentacle and Base.
As with our previous Hellraiser Series' there is a bonus incentive for collecting all 4 Blister Carded figures. In Series III each figure comes with a section of Leviathan. Collecting all 4 figures allows you to assemble your own 18" tall Leviathan. So collect them all and give your friends and neighbors a severe case of Leviathan envy!

    When Pinhead Knocks, We Answer!
The long awaited Pinhead HeadKnocker is finally out! This little monster is available in stores everywhere, and will make people either say "Awe" or scream "AHHHHHHHHHHH!" Amazingly painted and made of resin with REAL METAL PINS, he is going to surely be a fan favorite, so be sure to pick him up once you see him. He won't linger for too long.

    Fans are Fun!
Unannounced and unexpected we received a little package in the mail yesterday and didn't know quite what to expect when it was opened. It wasn't ticking and there were no traces of white powder so we figured we were safe. Steven Lohkamp, who had previously sent in one of our favorite entries into the action figure photo contest, now sent us a customized Hellbound Pinhead figure. He did an awesome job and we all loved it here so we figured we'd let the world see the great work a fan can do.

By the way, I never knew Pinhead was an ornithologist. Even demons can appreciate earthly beauty.

    Chatterer Unleashed!
He is a demon to some, an angel to others, but freaky and disturbing to everyone! This horrifying twisted creature of flesh is known as Chatterer. Standing at a menacing 18 Inches tall, this beastly being is going cause the need for new underwear to any unsuspecting folk whom pass by your collection while he's on.
Now that he's out, exclusively in the USA at Spencer Gifts stores some people are wondering what exactly he will look and sound like while activated. Well here we spare no expense to bring to you a very realistic virtual experience. You can almost smell the plastic from the surrounding toys in the room, as you watch this video of Chatterer in motion. However, this will in no way do justice to how awesome it is to see and own this baby in person! Maybe someday we'll also show you the video footage we had of NECA at the special "Cross-dressing Office Olympics" event, but I think this video should be good enough for now.

    Hellraiser Series 3!
Okay class, please take out your Hellraiser 101 text books and get ready for 3rd Period. However, before we get knee deep into our studies let's line up for some class photos.
Frank, please put the rat down. Frank, do I need to call your mother? Oh that's your lunch? Well I guess its ok then, even though we wanted these pictures to be classy. Anyhow, move along.
Now Ms. Cenobite, how did you ever get past the metal detectors with those wires on you?! You are lucky that we are sensitive to those with special needs at this school. Smile and say cheese! Ok, fine, don't smile. I guess we'll just give the cheese to the rat.
Oh, the Twins! You boys, er, boy, uhm... well you've gotten very big! I'm going to need to use my wide angle lens on you! At least ONE of you is smiling. Very nice, your family will love this picture of you.
Ok, next up is Pinhead. Pinhead? Oh, don't tell me he's cutting class today! I swear, he's such an intelligent young man, but he never uses his full potential in school.
Ok, well now for the Teacher's Assistant, Dr. Channard. You are oh so very close to adding to your medical doctorate with your PhD of Pain! I'm so proud to have you as a student!

    Best... Sculpting... Ever!

This week ToyFare magazine hosted the Best of the Best 2003 tournament, where different toy companies battle it out in the ring as Wayne Newton announces the matchups! Ok, thats not really what happens, but this year ToyFare magazine graced NECA/ReelToys with the honor of "Best Sculpting of 2003" for our Hellraiser line, in issue 79, on stands now. With the sculpting talents of Kyle Windrix, Sam Greenwell, Shawn Nagle, and paint jobs by Ed Repka, the Hellraiser Series of figures has planted itself to be one of the most successful and crtitically acclaimed action figure series. See the scans below for both covers to the latest issue and the actual article.

Hell Reaches All Corners Of The Globe

At the Fangoria Weekend of Horrors there were many sights to be seen. We saw former porn stars, no longer looking so great. We saw new innovations in the world of horror entertainment. We saw horror imports from all around the world, and one of them traveled 3000 miles just to get here. Mario Coleman, from the UK, came all the way down to Secaucus, NJ to visit the Fangoria show, and boy did he love it. He visited our booth to express his love for the Hellraiser and Friday the 13th franchises, and the figures we have put out for them, among other things. Seeing as he was such a big NECA fan, Randy invited him to see the office and visit us before he left to go back home. Here are some pictures from his visit, and his tour around the office.

    Wrapped Up In Horror

Here it is, our little photo wrap up to the Fangoria Weekend Of Horrors! Some of our biggest fans and supporters came out here to see us (including some from over seas!) and were very happy to see them and their reactions to our new figures and collectibles coming out this year! Below is our series of images from the 3 days of that show. Enjoy!

Chatterer Gets Ahead of Himself and Is Busted!

We promised that we had some huge news coming down the pike, and trust me baby, it doesn't really get much bigger than this. What is 16 Inches tall, 19 Inches wide, and has a large fleshy colored head? If you answered "The Full Size Resin Chatterer III Bust", not only are you psychic, but you are also clean minded and correct!

Limited to only 250 Pieces, with a signed Certificate of Authenticity, the bust fills out a whopping 16" tall by 19" wide space that can only be filled by this terrifying beast. The Chatterer III Bust was Cast form an actual mask used to Re-Introduce the Character, Chatterer to the Hellraiser Mythos. The original Model was provided by Gary J. Tunnicliffe, Special FX and Makeup Designer for the Hellraiser Films.

The most hardcore of Hellraiser fans will not be able to do without this so make sure you get your orders once they become available to the Hellraiser Collector's Club, as there will be a limited amount on hand. The rest will be orderable through specialty stores.

18 Inches of Motion Activated Ecstasy

No further double entendres or innuendo is necessary to describe the shiver down many of the Hellraiser and collectibles fans' spines when they open up the box. However, I'm not talking about the Lament Configuration this time around. For your viewing pleasure I have for you the first images of the 18 Inch Motion Activated Chatterer with "Real" Chattering Teeth. This towering terror will come packaged in a window box, similar to the style used for the 18 Inch Talking Pinhead. He will be coming with the large hook and chain weapon accessory and a lifetime of oohs, aahs, and hopefully screams from your little friends.

Check out the tasty new images below, now with more real death flavor!

    The Not-So-Beautiful People

Our favorite time of year has just passed, and we asked that you would give us your all and show us how to really celebrate Halloween in style. Goodness, did you guys deliver! We had a whopping ammount of excellent entries, especially considering the kind of work that goes into making a costume. Saddly not all could win this time around, but then if everyone won then the contest would be pointless.

To make things interesting, we said we were give away a test shot of one of the Series II figures to the grand prize winner. The 2nd prize winner will be getting an Exclusive Chatterer II Figure and a Hellraiser Lunchbox, and the 3rd prize winner gets a Chatterer II.

And the grand prize winner is:
Justin Warren, of Fort Worth, Texas
Justin must have completed his costume in record time for Halloween, because the only reference for the costume would have been the actual action figure! None of our photos actually show the back of surgeon, but he got it right! Now for the rest of our winners:

2nd Prize: Monika Jezebelle 3rd Prize: Gary Leach

And since those are the winners, here are the lose..uh, those that did not win. Once again, thanks to all who entered, and we were very proud to see the sheer number of entries for such a difficult contest!

    Not-So-Idle Chatter

First of all, there are many costume entries for the contest, and we are judging them still. Expect an anouncement on the winner(s) this Friday.

Now for the big deal stuff. Here is a first look at the 18" Chatterer with Motion Activated "Chatter" Action. We are still making final adjustments and getting everything perfect but we wanted to share this with you ASAP since it is so very cool! Please note the coloration is slightly off model and will be corrected before final production. Also there is a visible seam in the head that will not be present in the final product.

The 18" Chatterer will be available in January at Spencer's in the US, check your local retailer for availability in foreign markets.

Expect more images of the final product and packaging in coming weeks.
