Secrets of the Puzzle Box The most difficult part in re-creating Pinhead in action figure form was how to manufacture over 100 tiny little pins in the head of an action figure. The images shown here are of early unpainted samples demonstrating some of the engineering involved in Pinhead. As you can see using the grid lines that are in his face we cut the head into many small sections so his face is assembled almost like a jigsaw puzzle. Then rows of individual pins were inserted into each section of his head. Countless hours were spent de-bugging the construction of Pinhead to achieve the end result shown here
